Team Percepto takes the privacy and security of your personal information seriously. This Notice at Collection and California Consumer Privacy Act Policy describes how we collect, use, and disclose personal information relating to California residents under the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018, as amended by the California Consumer Privacy Rights Act of 2020 and regulations promulgated thereunder (“CCPA”).

What is Personal Information?

“Personal Information” means information that identifies, relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular California resident or household. The CCPA does not apply to certain information, such as information subject to the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act or the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.

Notice at Collection (Collection, Use, and Disclosure of Personal Information)

We may collect the following categories of Personal Information about California residents, depending on your interactions with us:

  • Personal identifiers, such as your name, phone number, and email address, which may be used to deliver survey incentives or to include you in our research panel if you choose to opt in.

  • Internet or network activity, such as browsing history and interactions with our website, partners’ websites, and survey platforms.

  • Geolocation data, including:

    • Zip Code provided directly by you,

    • General geographic information (country, city, state, postal code) derived from your IP address, and

    • Where applicable, approximate longitude and latitude automatically collected by third-party survey platforms from your device or network connection.

  • Professional or employment-related information, such as your employment status, when relevant for survey screening.

  • Inferences drawn from the above, such as survey eligibility or participation profiles.

Use of Personal Information

We may use Personal Information for the following business purposes:

  • To operate, manage, and maintain our research business.

  • To determine your eligibility for and participation in surveys.

  • To deliver and verify incentives you may earn for survey completion.

  • To include you in our research panel if you opt in to future participation.

  • To communicate with you about surveys or incentives.

  • To provide and improve our survey platforms and services.

  • To detect and prevent fraud and ensure data quality.

  • To perform auditing, compliance, and other internal functions.

  • To comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.

We do not sell your Personal Information and we do not share it with clients. All research results provided to clients are aggregated and never identify individual respondents.

How Long We Retain Your Personal Information

We retain your Personal Information for as long as needed to fulfill survey participation, incentive obligations, or panel membership if you opt in. After that, your information is either securely deleted or deidentified in accordance with the CCPA. Once deidentified, we do not attempt to reidentify it.

California Residents’ Rights

California residents have the following rights under the CCPA:

  • Right to Know: To request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of Personal Information we have collected about you, including sources and purposes of collection and categories of third parties to whom the information is disclosed.

  • Right to Access/Copy: Up to twice in a 12-month period, to request a copy of the specific pieces of Personal Information we have collected about you.

  • Right of Deletion: To request that we delete Personal Information collected from you, subject to statutory exceptions.

  • Right to Correct: To request correction of inaccurate Personal Information.

  • Right to Opt-Out/Do Not Sell: To opt out of the sale of your Personal Information, though Team Percepto does not sell Personal Information.

  • Right to Limit Use and Disclosure of Sensitive Personal Information: To limit use of “Sensitive Personal Information,” though Team Percepto does not collect such categories (such as SSN, driver’s license, bank account numbers, or precise geolocation).

We will respond to verifiable requests as required by law by matching information you provide against our records or requesting further verification. Authorized agents must provide proof of authorization, and we may require the consumer to verify the request directly.

Non-Discrimination

We will not discriminate against California residents for exercising their rights under the CCPA. This means we will not deny you services, charge you different prices, or provide you with a different quality of service because you exercised your rights.

Financial Incentives

Team Percepto does not offer financial incentives tied to the collection, use, or retention of your Personal Information beyond standard survey participation rewards, which are provided solely as compensation for your time and participation.
