Team Percepto takes the privacy and security of your personal information seriously. This Notice at Collection and California Consumer Privacy Act Policy describes how we collect, use, and disclose personal information relating to California residents under the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018, as amended by the California Consumer Privacy Rights Act of 2020 and regulations promulgated thereunder (“CCPA”).
What is Personal Information? “Personal Information” means information that identifies, relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular California resident or household. Under the 2026 regulatory framework, this includes audio recordings, voiceprints, and transcripts generated during AI-driven interactions.
Notice at Collection (Collection, Use, and Disclosure of Personal Information) We may collect the following categories of Personal Information about California residents:

Personal identifiers: Name, phone number, and email address (used for survey incentives and panel enrollment).

Internet or network activity: Browsing history and interactions with our website and survey platforms.

Audio and Biometric Information: Voice recordings and generated transcripts of your interactions with our AI survey tools.

Geolocation data: Zip Code, general geographic info (derived from IP), and approximate longitude/latitude for fraud prevention.

Inferences: Data drawn from the above regarding survey eligibility or participation profiles.
Use of Personal Information We may use Personal Information for the following business purposes:

AI Voice Interaction: To power real-time, automated voice interactions for research purposes (in compliance with SB 243).

Automated Processing: To use Automated Decision-Making Technology (ADMT) to process verbal responses into research insights.

Data Quality: To deliver and verify incentives and detect fraud.

PII Redaction: To automatically redact Personally Identifiable Information (PII) from audio transcripts using AI-driven scrubbing technology.

To comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
We do not sell your Personal Information and we do not share it with clients for their own commercial use. All research results provided to clients are aggregated and never identify individual respondents.
How Long We Retain Your Personal Information We retain your Personal Information for as long as needed to fulfill survey obligations. Audio recordings used for AI-driven research are typically de-identified or deleted within 90 days after the completion of a study, unless a longer retention period is required for legal compliance. Once de-identified or aggregated, we do not attempt to re-identify the data.
California Residents’ Rights California residents have the following rights under the CCPA:

Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Information: To limit the use of "Sensitive Personal Information." We do not collect SSNs or bank accounts, but we treat voice recordings with heightened security.

Right to Opt-Out of ADMT: To request information about and opt-out of certain automated decision-making technologies.

We will respond to verifiable requests as required by law by matching information you provide against our records or requesting further verification. Authorized agents must provide proof of authorization, and we may require the consumer to verify the request directly.
Non-Discrimination We will not discriminate against California residents for exercising their rights under the CCPA. This means we will not deny you services, charge you different prices, or provide you with a different quality of service because you exercised your rights.
Financial Incentives Team Percepto does not offer financial incentives tied to the collection, use, or retention of your Personal Information beyond standard survey participation rewards, which are provided solely as compensation for your time and participation.
