How do I know I am talking to an AI?
In compliance with California’s SB 243, we provide clear notice at the start of every session. The voice you hear is synthetic audio generated by an automated AI system, not a human being. You will see a "Live AI Interaction" indicator on your screen throughout the conversation.
Why do I need to enable my microphone?
The microphone is required so you can speak directly with our automated AI assistant. The system must be able to "hear" and process your verbal responses in real-time to conduct the interview. Your microphone is only active during the live session and will be deactivated once the session ends.
Is my conversation being recorded and transcribed?
Yes. To capture your feedback accurately, the AI assistant records the audio and generates a written transcript. These recordings are used solely for research analysis and quality assurance. By participating, you consent to this recording as required by two-party consent laws.
Do you sell my data?
No. Team Percepto does not sell your data to third parties for marketing or commercial purposes.
Do you share my personal information with your clients?
No. Our clients never see your name, email, phone number, or Zip Code. They only receive survey results in aggregate form, meaning data is combined so no individual can ever be identified.
How is my information kept safe?
We use secure technologies and industry-standard safeguards. For AI sessions, we use "scrubbing" technology to redact personally identifiable information (PII) from transcripts. Original audio recordings are typically deleted or de-identified within 90 days of study completion.
Why do you collect my Zip Code?
We ask for your Zip Code to validate responses and make sure survey results reflect real communities. It is never shared with clients and is used only for accurate internal analysis.
Why do you ask for my name, phone, or email?
We request this only if you qualify for an incentive or choose to join our research panel. This information is used only to deliver your reward or to contact you about future surveys if you opt in.
What happens if I opt out of texts or emails?
You can opt out at any time. If you earned an incentive, we may still need to contact you briefly to ensure you receive your reward. After that, you will not receive further messages.
